From the early ages distilled spirits were infused with botanicals for medicinal purposes. Apoteca gin was created based on these early folk remedies, which are still used today.
Bottled at 43% abv, Apoteca gin combines 22 botanicals most of which are sourced in Lithuania. Unique botanicals like bee bread, propolis and sea buckthorn provides an incredible smooth and balanced gin that can be enjoyed straight, on the rocks or in any cocktail.*
First impression is very good – packaging is very simple yet sophisticated – round, premium bottle with a cork and clean and simple(in a good way) label.
As you would expect from a gin, Apoteca gin is clear and colorless drink, with a light juniper nose and a hint of brown notes. High alcohol content suppress the flavor a bit, but a bit of water opens up an excellent aroma – light juniper flavor with brown notes and a light mix of other botanicals. Considering it’s bottled at 43% abv, gin is quite smooth and have a slightly sweet aftertaste.
