Postponement of (MIFB) Trade Fair 2020
In tandem with a recent advisory related to COVID-19 pandemic by Malaysian Government through Datuk Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah, Director General of Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH), in all likelihood, Malaysians will be imposed with principles to practice social distancing & avoiding mass gathering for at least 6 (six) months as part of the universal precautions step after the movement control order (MCO).
“The concern on COVID-19 Virus pandemic and its development are always hoisting among our team members, with our supreme concern on the wellbeing of the world community overall. Many of our partners and key exhibiting clients also expressed their apprehension about participating this year’s MIFB edition due to this outbreak” says Mr. Henri Tan, Project Director of Sphere Exhibits Malaysia. Recently a dialogue been carried out by the MIFB Team with some of our local & international partners and almost all assured to abide on travel ban set by the authorities and proclaim the health of their co-workers is the utmost priority.
As we laud the Government & Public continued efforts to recover from this unfortunate situation faced, we have decided to postpone Malaysian International Food & Beverage (MIFB) Trade Fair 2020, originally scheduled from 22nd to 24th July 2020 to a later date upon the availability of the event venue KL Convention Centre & this year’s 2nd half-year business events calendar. We seek your kind understanding and fullest support; and will continue to take reference from the Malaysian Government’s advisories to plan our course of action.
MIFB as one of the leading business events in Malaysia is devoted to looking after the wellbeing of our exhibitors, buyers, delegates, speakers, sponsors, trade visitors and members of the public.
