Tipple Box, an Edinburgh based award-winning cocktail and craft spirit delivery experience, has secured a significant six-figure investment in advance of the busy Christmas trading period.
Securing the funding through business angel group Kelvin Capital, the investment will drive the company’s expansion by supporting the growth of the business, allowing the introduction of new products and adding essential team members.
Established in 2014, Tipple Box delivers cocktail and premium small-batch spirit boxes to your door allowing you to overcome the challenges of cocktail making at home by providing everything you need to create the perfect drink.
Tipple Box features exclusive products on a monthly basis, partnering with independent spirit and ingredient suppliers alongside the company’s branded sugar syrups and liqueurs.
With almost 10,000 boxes delivered across the UK to-date, Tipple Box has more than tripled the sales of its first year of trading during the company’s second year.
Recently rated as the UK’s number one cocktail kit by The Independent, founder Sonny Charles was also awarded Young Entrepreneur of the Year at the Buchanan Business Awards in September.
On securing the six-figure investment, Tipple Box Founder Sonny Charles commented: “We’re delighted to have Kelvin on board. This vital investment will allow us to take Tipple Box to the next level as we prepare for expansion and I know we can build something extraordinary.”
Director of Kelvin Capital Angus Hay said: “Our investors recognised Sonny’s talent and enthusiasm and there is no doubt that his success so far in creating the Tipple Box brand and concept and gaining a loyal customer base through subscriptions and sales through major online retailers such as John Lewis and NOTHS for one-off novel gifts is impressive.
We are excited about the future for the company and will look forward to watching it grow.”
