With the ‘better-for-you’ and health categories in the food and drink sector set to continue to grow, Food Matters Live is pleased to be hosting a second industry briefing in conjunction with Food and Drink Wales. This briefing is designed to help provide guidance on how to innovate and develop your business, provide expert advice on export opportunities and outline how to form collaborations with research and academia.
The free-to-attend briefing is split into two formats – the morning takes the form of a plenary session with the afternoon split into three workshops. Refreshments will be provided.

Rachel Rowntree, Managing Director, Wide Eyed Owl – Rachel has spent over 15 years working for large FMCG manufacturers covering sales and marketing roles across companies including Coca-Cola, Mars Confectionary and PepsiCo.
David Young, David Young Consulting – David’s 25 year career has taken him to Sainsbury’s, Booker, The Cooperative, The Cheese Company, Parmalat, amelca and McCambridge Ltd establishing success in growing both brands and Private Label.
Chris Price Jones, Innovation Director, BIC innovation – Chris has worked for a number of blue chip companies such as Boots, Beechams, Cadbury and the Callard & Bowser group finishing his industrial career with Leaf group.
Katie Palmer, Sustainable Food Cities Co-ordinator, Food Cardiff – Kate is working in partnership with the public, private and third sectors to generate a fair and vibrant food economy in Cardiff.
Paul Roberts, Operations Manager, Food Technology Centre, Coleg Menai – In his current role, Paul works very closely with the private sector and public bodies such as the Welsh Government.
James Read, Founder, Giant Peach – James runs an ethical digital agency which uses their expertise in all things digital to help their clients make an even bigger difference.
