Just in time for the spring / summer “rosé rush,” Terlato Wines is launching six new rosé wines. Joining Michel Chapoutier’s popular Belleruche Rosé are new rosés from Il Poggione, Bodegas Valdemar, Sanford, Protea, Lapostolle and Michel Chapoutier’s daughter’s new eponymous rosé, Mathilde.
“Rosé is what everyone looks forward to this time of year – it’s bright, fresh, fun and food-friendly,” said Bill Terlato, CEO of Terlato Wines.
“The rosé category is on fire in the U.S. We have grown Belleruche rosé to more than 60,000 cases in the last five years, and rosé sections are growing fast in retail shops and on wine lists. This year our portfolio of rosé wines will grow to more than 100,000 cases.”
Terlato feels Millennials are driving the growth. “They have no memory of the white zinfandel that their grandparents may have drunk. Millennials love dry rosé. This collection offers exceptional discoveries from six different countries. Each is unique and delicious.”
Terlato’s new rosé portfolio includes wines from six countries: Il Poggione Brancato Rosé from Toscana, Italy; Bodegas Valdemar Rosé from Rioja, Spain; Protea Rosé from South Africa; Sanford Rosé from the Sta. Rita Hills in California; Lapostolle Rosé from Colchagua, Chile and; Mathilde Rosé from Provence, France.
The entire rosé portfolio will be supported with a PR campaign themed, “See the World Through Rosé.” Rosés from Terlato will be prominently featured at two La Nuit en Rosé events in New York and Los Angeles, and rosé happy hours will be hosted for major media outlets.
